Gypsum/Selenite Specimens

Selenite/Satin Spar
Selenite and Satin Spar are specific varieties of the mineral gypsum named after the Ancient Greek goddess of the moon, Selene. The Greeks especially appreciated the beauty of selenite, even making windows with the stone.
Satin Spar is the same mineral just formed in a more fibrous structure.
True selenite will be clear with a more crystallized structure, more rare and expensive.
Both have the same extremely powerful ability to cleanse and absorb negativity! Most stores sell them as the same but I will label which is true selenite and which is satin spar!
Selenite/Satin Spar is considered a high-energy crystal that vibrates at a high frequency and is one of the few crystals that is used to charge other crystals. Despite being an incredibly soft stone, so soft a fingernail can scratch it, selenite gemstones are believed to be a stone of protection that wards the mind. It is great for meditation and strengthening mental clarity

Selenite and Satin Spar are not traditional birthstones, but is associated with the zodiac sign of Cancer
